Medical Maggots?

Well i have not been a fan of the FDA predominately due the fact that big biz and big pharma bought the agency out long ago.  While researching Center For Food Safety and it’s ties to the FDA I ran across a forward thinking idea , Medical Maggots.

Yep that’s right Medical Maggots got cleared back in 2004 to be produced and marketed for human and animal use. Sanitized fly larvae are introduced into a non-healing wound to De-brid dead tissue.

Only select wound “type” are a good candidate for this treatment. Prerequisites are adequate oxygen and non-healing tissues.  Looks completely disgusting.  Great job Dr. Ronald Sherman congratulations
